Hi, I’m Debbie Thomas (you might know me as "Debbie Doula"), the heart behind Guiding Hands Birth Services.

I’m a proud mother of six beautiful children—two born in the hospital, one precious angel baby, and three amazing bonus kids who’ve added so much love to my life.  I am also a grandma to 2 beautiful babes!  Each of these experiences shaped the person and the doula I’ve become. My own path into motherhood wasn’t always easy, but it was powerful, transformative, and deeply humbling. It’s what ignited my passion for standing beside others as they walk their own birthing journeys.
 

With a background in nursing and the medical field, along with years of hands-on experience supporting a wide range of births, I bring both professional knowledge and heartfelt understanding into every birth space I enter. I believe that birth is not one-size-fits-all—and that every person deserves a birth experience that aligns with their values, their body, and their voice.
 

My mission as your doula is simple: to provide you with the education, encouragement, and emotional support you need to feel confident and empowered—whether you’re planning a hospital birth, a home birth, or birth center birth. I’ll be there to listen, advocate, and hold space for you and your growing family every step of the way.

This is more than a job for me—it’s a calling, it's my passion!
